Night was falling and he wondered if Kellayin was coming tonight or not. He had sent a runner on from the Westbrook garrison yesterday saying he would be in Goldshire tonight. Well, he reasoned, if she didn’t show tonight, maybe he would take a hike out to her family farmstead just to check in on her. Sure Elwynn was a safe place in general, but between the kobolds, the gnolls, and the recent murloc encroachment it wasn’t as safe as living in a city, even a small one like Goldshire.
Farley must have sensed Rhev’s mood when he returned with the ale. “Don’t worry, She’ll be coming,” he said to her, then with a sly wink added, “course if she doesn’t, there’s always that young guardswoman who patrols near the smith, eh?”
Rhev chuckled, his mood lightened by his old friend’s jovial comment.
